Self Compassion in The Weed?

I remember smoking for the first time and not even smoking, but eating a most likely expired edible, my senior year of high school. I straggled along to class and then to marching band practice. Yes, I was a marching band teen, and I was in another dimension as the drums hit, my saxophone yelped, and my coordination was off, trying to follow our show steps.
Now, as an adult, I reevaluated the way I used marijuana from my college years to when I became chronically ill. Cannabis has been used as a herb to escape the void the mind lives in, amongst the strings of memories itching to escape. There is a power to cannabis that leads you to the unspoken wounds, asking for a release. Cannabis has also been utilized to welcome the parts that hide...they creep through like a cat's watchful eye. What stories are being tucked in the corner? When you question yourself, when will you no longer feel like this? When will I be better? Cannabis will not solve the issue, and it will guide you to revelations you are ready to endure and see. The self-compassion cannabis offers is a seat at the table. You and your shadow selves are emerging all at once to have a conversation.
What shield are you placing around yourself, and does that slip off when the THC enters and flows, hugging onto your blood vessels? Looking back at the power of meditation and its intention to align your nervous system, as well as release control. Releasing control is not letting go of your power, but better yet, cultivating the vessel.
As you step into your next smoke session, look around at how your body is feeling prior to the session. How is your breath beating agaisnt you? further more how is your mind going into the session. The weed whether a hybrid, sativa, or indica... it is speaking to you.
